The Vreeland Store is a historic general store the beautiful rural town of West Milford, New Jersey. It is a full-service restaurant, bar, bakery, and inn, located in a historic general store, currently open Wednesday - Sunday.  It's a place where you can get everything from a great cup of Stumptown coffee to a craft beer. All of our food is freshly made and our bakery is always stocked with baked goods. 

We visit the Vreeland Store often and enjoy the country store atmosphere and light entertainment by professional acoustic music acts.  The menu has a wide variety of items, from sandwiches to salads to soups. My personal favorites are the cheesesteak and the Vreeland Caesar Salad with crispy chicken. The baked goods are also quite delicious, and I always pick up a few croissants to take home.

Located at the historic Sussex Inn, dating from 1843, in Sussex, New Jersey, the restaurant offers American cuisine, including sandwiches, hearty burgers, and crispy fried chicken. Each dish is a nod to the classics that define American comfort food.

Newly opened Baldo Bistro Executive Chef and Owner Baldo Baldassare found his passion for cooking while growing up working in his family restaurant located in Liguria, Italy (Northern Italy). He brought his passion to life by attending culinary school in Casino of Menton (South France).

After graduating, Baldassare brought his Sicilian roots to America and opened Baldo Bistro on Greenwood Lake in 2022. The menu consists of classic Italian cuisine with dishes from Southern and Northern Italy, and the restaurant has a large wine selection and full-service bar.

Baldassare brings original Italian recipes directly from his family, freshly made pasta, and thin-crust, traditional-style pizza with inspiration from Chef Giovanni Polini. He will also incorporate modern American fare to add a twist to the menu, such as fresh lobster rolls, house-blend burgers, and Italian & American small plates for our guests to share amongst themselves.!
